Preserved Nectarines
I had a friend from work gift me a big box full of juicy nectarines! Even with me in the kitchen cooking up a storm, making sauces, desserts and delicious dishes, I still had a truck load left! By storing your fruit this way, you can keep them in the fridge for a fairly long time which makes them a great "go-to" when you're after something quick.
Also, when you preserve your fruit with liquid sweetened with stevia, not sugar, they are certainly a bit easier on the sugar level; the actual fruit is sweet enough as it is! Preserved fruit is perfect paired with some yogurt for a small snack or even a dessert; as always though with fruit, remember portion size is key here! The whole jar isn't a snack!
