Pinot nior jus


For something that sounds so fancy and is so tasty, it's incredibly simple to make... Two ingredients, that's it! If you have gone to the trouble to cook a nice piece of steak (go you!) then you might as well go that little bit extra and pair it with a delicious steak sauce like this. It's a great small addition to a meal, especially if you have friends and family over too!

Ingredients

  • 150ml pinot noir
  • 1 Tbsp butter

How to

  • Using the pan that you have cooked the steak in, deglaze the pan by pouring the wine in and stirring, getting all the nice stuff stuck to the bottom of the pan
  • Add the butter and reduce to the flavour you like 
  • Tip: sometimes I add a touch of cream for a bit of richness :-)
