Fred's Lifestyle BlogThe supermarket is the new takeaways
Buying something pre-packaged can often be the better choice than buying takeaways. Yes, you might still need to heat something in the oven but you have so much more control over what's in your meal when you buy it from the supermarket than getting a takeaway. For example, you buy an Indian takeaway curry. You likely won't be able to order brown basmati rice, the curry could be full of sugars because you have no way of knowing what they are using in their ingredients. At least if you're buying a curry in the supermarket that you simply need to heat up in the microwave, you can read the back of the label and make an educated decision about that meal's affect on you. You can purchase your own brown basmati rice and you have yourself a 2 minute curry. A treat, yes, but a smarter treat. You can also be your own takeaway Effective use of your freezer When you're busy and get home, all you need to do is re-heat one of your own previous dishes. When you have left overs from a lunch or dinner (or even purposely double the recipe) put them in the freezer for another time! Buy re-usable freezer containers. Freeze in serving sizes, so the convince is implied. Get home, get out of freezer, heat, enjoy. And, this is a fantastic way to save money. Takeaways, especially the more friendly-suitable options can be really expensive, especially if you're buying for the family! Post your own ADM Lifestyle & tag us
